We are CAMRA’s National Cider & Perry Pub of the Year 2025, and one of the Final Four pubs in CAMRA’s National Pub of the Year 2025 competition!
The Blackfriars Tavern underwent an extensive refurbishment inside and out in 2020 after being purchased.
In previous years, it has been the two time East Anglia CAMRA Pub of the Year (2025 an 2024), the East Anglia CAMRA Cider & Perry Pub of the Year 2025, and had awards at the branch level in 2023. The Good Pub Guide Website also recommends it as the only pub in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding area.
We pride ourselves on offering something for everyone, with a warm welcome and friendly service, whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular looking for a new local spot.
Currently, we’re serving an ever-changing selection of award-winning real ales and real ciders. We also offer a normal selection of draught lagers, wines, and spirits, as you would expect from any traditional pub.
We also have a food service that varies depending on the day of the week.
