Cider tickers heaven - On holiday in Norwich I day tripped on both full days, having read about this pub in CAMRAs Good Beer Guide, and online. I review real cider online (CiderExpert, username... read more Cidrtikmick), I've never seen a pub that boasts FORTY ciders, more than most CAMRA beer festivals. A couple of the weaker ones (4%) I had were at a Wetherspoonish price of under £4 a pint. Landlord Pharex is very knowledgeable, I should have asked him to write my reviews for me. Good selection of real ales too.
I'm intending to stay in Great Yarmouth next year, another attraction is you can get B&B cheaper than in Norwich.

Ales, cider and perry - We saw this pub in the Good Beer Guide, so thought we would give it a try. I'm very pleased we did. There are lots of ales,... read more ciders and even a couple of perries.
Homemade pies and chips are available if you want to eat. We shared a steak pie and chips.
I very much want to go back to Great Yarmouth as I've been surprised by how much there is to see, and coming back to this pub will be high on the list.

Oh. And the owners are the best .
10/10

A limited menu but the food on offer is amazing.
Wide selection of real ales at reasonable prices.
The provision of board games is a novel approach with many customers playing chess, dominos and the like.
A real mixture of ages present during my 2 recent visits all having a good time.

Those who don’t want alcohol are very well catered for too with a selection of loose tea’s to chose from. Well behaved dogs are welcomed and treated with cuddles and free gravy bones!
They sell food such as home made pies and (more than) triple cooked chips and sometimes provide nibbles during your visit. We didn’t have the chance to eat but the food we saw served looked absolutely amazing.
Thank you for making our trip to Great Yarmouth that little bit more magical we’ll be sure to return again soon!
