There’s a growing appetite for low and no-alcohol drinks — and not just in January. Whether you’re driving, watching what you drink, or simply fancy something lighter that still tastes like the real thing, The Blackfriars Tavern is proud to offer a proper selection of quality low-alcohol and alcohol-free options on draught.
Here’s the draught beers you’ll find on the bar right now.
Barsham Estate Stacked AF — 0.3% ABV – Pale Ale
Stacked AF from the Barsham Brewery in Norfolk is a 0.3% ABV alcohol-free pale ale that proves you don’t need alcohol to enjoy great beer. Crisp, clean and full of flavour, it brings bright floral hop aromas, gentle malt sweetness and a balanced finish. It’s also gluten-free and vegan.
Brewed on the Barsham Estate using estate-grown and locally sourced malt, it’s about as local as it gets — and it’s available now at Blackfriars.
Brehon Pioneer – 0.5%ABV Nitro Stout
There’s something quietly satisfying about a stout that delivers proper character without the full alcohol weight, and Brehon Brewery’s Pioneer Nitro Stout does exactly that.
Pioneer is a low-alcohol nitro stout that pours smooth, looks the part, and drinks like a proper stout — dark, roasty, with a silky nitro finish. It’s proof that low alcohol doesn’t mean low ambition.
Kasteel Rouge 0.0 — 0.0% ABV
Kasteel Rouge 0.0 is the alcohol-free version of the much-loved Belgian cherry beer. It’s sweet, fruity and surprisingly full-bodied for a 0.0% beer — the kind of drink that works whether you’re in the pub for the evening or just passing through. Popular with all sorts of drinkers, and easy to see why.
The Full Range
Beyond these draught options, we also carry a full range of non-alcoholic soft drinks and low-alcohol bottles. If you’re unsure what to try, just ask at the bar — we’re happy to talk you through what’s available.
Whether you’re here for the company, the atmosphere, the music, or just a proper drink that suits you, there’s something on the bar at Blackfriars.
Come along, find a seat, and enjoy something worth taking your time over.
