It is nearly time. The Blackfriars Tavern Beer, Cider & Perry Festival returns from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July, and it is shaping up to be a rather fine weekend.
Three days of proper ale, proper cider, proper perry, live music, good company and all the things that make this pub what it is.

What to expect
30 real ales — a mix of Norfolk brewers and brewers from further afield. The full beer list released on Monday 6th July.
60 ciders & perries — Norfolk producers and beyond. Cider list published Friday 3rd July.
6 Belgian beers on draught, 6 Independent Brewer craft keg beers, plus low-alcohol beer, low-alcohol cider, and a range of soft drinks for those taking it steady.
Opening times
Friday 10th: 11am – 10pm (food 1pm – 8pm)
Saturday 11th: 11am – 10pm (food 1pm – 8pm)
Sunday 12th: 11am – 8:30pm, including CAMRA Presentation for Norfolk Pub of the Year and Norfolk Cider & Perry Pub of the Year around 2:30pm
Note: There will be no fish and chips during the festival weekend.
Live music
Friday: Quieter afternoon, then Pianoman Dave Johnson (sing-along) 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Saturday: Jack Allen (punk folk) 3:30pm – 5:30pm, then The Sugar Beatniks 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Sunday: Magpye (folk) 1:30pm – 2:30pm, then The Ballard Bootleggers 3:30pm – 5:30pm
